Outer Aisle Gourmet makes cauliflower pizza crusts and cauliflower sandwich thins for retail stores and foodservice. Our products are naturally gluten free, low-carb, non-GMO, Paleo friendly and are low glycemic load, the only product of this kind on retail shelves. Jeanne started the business three years ago to be part of the solution to the country's obesity and diabetes crises and to improve the health of her own family.
Giving Back Award - $10,000
This important, separately funded Award was given out to Jeanne David, founder of Outer Aisle Gourmet.
The award was set up to recognize and financially support an outstanding new business founded by a woman entrepreneur who is creating value and job opportunities in her new endeavor in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. The winner is selected by the donors to this Award, who are themselves successful entrepreneurs. All the winners of the Spirit of Entrepreneurship™ Awards who have been in business five years or less are eligible for the SB Entrepreneurs Giving Back Award. This year, the donors selected Jeanne, for her innovative product that makes sandwich thins, pizza crusts and tortillas out of cauliflower and already has national distribution.
