Believe in yourself. Things will inevitably be tough when you start a business. Don’t let the challenges get you down. They are part of the process and they will only make you and your business stronger.

My goal was to offer women a chance to connect with the world through music and movement while helping people in need.

I am most proud of and inspired by, the profound effect we are having on women’s lives by challenging them to do something that they thought they could never do.

My mum always taught me to make do and mend. As the youngest of seven growing up in a low-income household it was necessary. But that advice has served me well over the years as I grew my business.

When you own your own business, you have the ability to do things the way you see fit. Starting my own company, I now had the ability to "cut the bureaucracy, and deliver value to the customer without being overly worried about short term results.

Bringing a new product category to market that required our own manufacturing and consumer education.  But it’s been a great education.
